The Blindfold Tic-Tac-Toe is a great puzzle game which has been specially made for those who are visually impaired and can play the game without any challenges. The game was first suggested by a school teacher who understood that the blind students could execute the moves of a tic-tac-toe in their head much better than the students who could see and play. An absolute strategy based game which can be played by 2 players at once, is a similar concept to the traditional game of tic-tac-toe, but with a few changes. Let us talk about it in this blog and we will discuss how to win tic tac toe.
Concept of Blindfold Tic-Tac-Toe
As we already mentioned, the concept is quite similar except the fact that this game is played in 3 different levels – top, middle and bottom. The main objective of the game is to form a horizontal, diagonal or a vertical line of three checkers on any one of the levels or across all the levels as well. The person who does it first, wins the round. So, it’s the classic tic-tac-toe with a twist. On each of the levels, the grid is usually laid out in different rows and columns. The columns are labeled as – A, B and C and the rows are labeled as 1, 2 and 3. The three levels are – bottom, middle and top.
What are the combinations for winning?
If you want to get 3 checkers on spot at one level, then you need to have checkers at spots – A1, and A2, and A3. Or if you can place the checkers at spot A,1, and B,1, and C,1. Otherwise, the last option remains to be to go diagonally like A,1, and B,2, and C,3 and win. You can also put 3 in a row across levels, if you can in a straight vertical line, such as at the top level, A,1, at the middle level, A,1, and at the bottom level, A,1. Or simply get 3 in a row in the two-dimensional diagonal – at the top level, A,1, middle level, B, 1, and the bottom level, C,1. The final combination exists – place 3 in a row in a simple three-dimensional diagonal – top level, A,1, the middle level, B,2, and the bottom level, C, 3. These are the few combinations you need to keep in mind in order to win a round.
Movements You Can Make in The Game
You can always go first in the game if you want. But it is always better if you can do a toss and decide who is going to give the first step. You can swipe one finger left, right, down or up and move through any of the grids at any level. In order to move through the levels, you will have to swipe two fingers either up or down. When you move around the grid, you will be told where the cursor has been placed. The usual colours of the checkers are red and black. Double tap one finger to place any of the red checker into a spot and when all the 27 positions have been filled.
Alternative Numbering in the Game
In case you want to hear the positions as the level and a spot number between 1 to 9, you can easily change that in the settings screen. The bottom level is usually A, the middle is B and the top is C. The spots at the bottom row are 1, 2 and 3, the middle row are 4, 5 and 6. The top row are the spots with 7, 8 and 9. Hence “A”, 5 is middle position in bottom level, and “C”, 9 is upper right corner of top level. So, these are the alternative numbering available in the game.
